Blue Diamond Growers is officially in the general election season, with ballots in the mail for the next Board of Directors and Grower Liaison Committee members for growers’ districts. Growers will soon receive their ballots from YesElections. Votes must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Nov. 9. Paper ballots received after the deadline will not be counted.
It is imperative that a proxy covering each voting member be on file at the time of the annual meeting so that a quorum may be assured. Per Blue Diamond Growers Bylaws, 16.6% (one-sixth) of all voting members constitutes a quorum. Official business may not be conducted at the Annual Meeting unless a quorum of participants represented either online or in person is met.
