Almond Day to be held Feb. 1 in Modesto

An almond day, sponsored by the University of California Cooperative Extension will be held Feb. 1 from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Martin Peterson Event Center, 720 12th St. Modesto.

The event will cover topics such as: management of rust, new research on almond nutrition, the ten-lined June beetle and identification, management and prevention of almond wood canker diseases.

Continuing education credits of 1.5 hours are pending; 3.0 hours of CCA hours are pending.
